Playing Coin Bash - First Impressions

I loaded up Coin Bash expecting another scatter-collect clone and, honestly, that is what it is. But Snowborn Games have wrapped it in such a cheerful package that I kept spinning longer than planned. The flamingo pink background is bold, the grid is covered in gold coins and flashing lights, and a prize ladder sits to the left giving you something to chase constantly.

The soundtrack deserves a special mention. It shuffles along with a toe-tapping beat that feels like it belongs in a Snoopy cartoon or some jazzy bank heist scene. When the bonus triggers the funk dials up even further. It is a 5-reel, 20-payline game built exclusively for Microgaming, playable on any device with bets from 20p up to 50 pounds.

Coin Bash RTP, Volatility and Max Win

Worth checking before you sit down: Coin Bash ships with multiple RTP settings and the one you want is the default 96.12%. Volatility is medium, and during my session the hit rate felt about right at 39.75%. Plenty of small returns keep the balance ticking over while you wait for scatters to cluster up.

The maximum win caps out at 5,000x your stake, achieved through a full house of nine Piggy Bank scatters. That is a decent ceiling for a medium volatility game. Free spins with active multipliers can deliver solid consolation wins too, though the really life-changing numbers come from stacking those scatter prizes.

Coin Bash Symbols and Paytable

Seven regular symbols fill the reels. Low pays are spades, hearts, horseshoes and four-leaf clovers. Premiums are single, double and triple stacks of coins, paying between 7.5x and 37.5x the stake for five of a kind. Any combination of mixed coin types also pays, up to 3.25x for a line of five. The wild is marked with a W, substitutes for all pay symbols, and a full line of five wilds is worth 125x the bet.

How Coin Bash Bonus Rounds Work

The main event is the Piggy Bank scatter. Land three or more anywhere and you collect an instant cash prize from the ladder: 3 scatters pay 1x stake, scaling through 5x, 15x, 40x, 100x, 500x, all the way to 5,000x for nine in view. During my testing these hit fairly often in small clusters of three or four, keeping things ticking over.

Three Lucky Star symbols on the middle three reels trigger the Lucky Star Bonus. A wheel spins to award between 10 and 20 free spins with a multiplier of x2 to x5 applied to all wins except Piggy Bank payouts. Every seven stars collected during the round retriggers your original number of spins and bumps the multiplier up by one. I found the retrigger genuinely achievable rather than just theoretical.

Then there is the Coin Spin feature, which can fire randomly on any spin, paid or free. Extra Piggy Bank symbols get added to the reels, guaranteeing at least some kind of scatter win from the prize board. It does not change the maths dramatically but adds a nice jolt of tension when it kicks in.

Is Coin Bash Worth Playing - Final Thoughts

If you have played games in this scatter-collect mould before you will know exactly what Coin Bash is about within thirty seconds. It does not reinvent anything. What it does well is atmosphere. The bouncy audio, the bright visuals and the high hit rate make it easy to settle into a rhythm without taking things too seriously.

For UK players after a medium volatility session with a reasonable 5,000x ceiling, it is a solid pick. Just make sure your operator is running the 96.12% RTP version before committing any real time to it.
