The comic-book aesthetic is vibrant, featuring a custom team of heroes rather than the usual branded characters. The vertical command panel situated at the bottom-right took me a moment to get used to, but it keeps the screen uncluttered. The backdrop of an anonymous metropolis sets a decent scene without distracting from the action.
Gameplay felt smooth during my session, though the symbol mechanics are the real standout. The heroes-Red, Green, Blue, and Purple-often land in stacks of three, which is crucial for the game mechanics. It is distinctly high volatility; I spent a fair amount of time spinning through dry spells before the unique engine kicked in.

Game Symbols and Paytable
The paytable in Diamond Force is surprisingly conservative. There are ten standard symbols: four high-paying superheroes and four lower-value royals (J, Q, K, A). What caught me off guard was the value; landing five of the top hero symbols only pays 0.2x your stake. The royals pay even less at 0.1x. The reel layout changes completely here, leaving only the stacked reels active. You can win extra spins, up to a maximum of 20, which gives you a bit more room to chase wins.

Playing Diamond Force requires patience due to its high volatility and those frustratingly low base game payouts.
