Chain reactions kick in whenever a winning combination hits. Winning symbols vanish, new ones drop in, and reactions continue without limit until no new win is formed. Mystery Coins cannot land from a chain reaction - only on an initial spin. When they do appear, all coins in view transform into the same random pay symbol, and I found the best moments came when a load of them revealed a premium.
Free spins scatters appear on reels 2, 3, 4, and 5. Landing 3 or 4 scatters awards 10 or 15 free spins respectively. During the bonus round, scatters cannot land, but Mystery Coins can.
